Intonation’s history of providing bespoke language solutions to companies worldwide stretches back over 35 years.

A limited company with its registered offices in Fareham, UK, Intonation is part of the Intereurope Group of Companies, comprising an automotive regulation publishing company, InterRegs, a Polish based legal translation agency, Lacrosse and a graphic design, PR and marketing agency ICG Ltd.

We are an approachable, medium-size agency that works in partnership with its clients to create bespoke language solutions, handled by an award-winning project management team. Specialising in Patent, Marketing, IT, Business and Technical translations –as well as operating the UK’s leading solely legal and financial translation and interpreting company, City Legal Translations.

Whether you are filing an EP validation or WIPO application, at Intonation we understand the technicalities and complexities of intellectual property and patent related documentation. Unlike general translation providers, we select each individual specialist translator according not only to their expertise in patent language, but also in the technical subject area of the patent itself, whether it be medical, chemical, mechanical engineering or pharmaceutical. Our in-house patent translation department offers a full range of patent translation services, from assisting with claims, description and drawings, prior art, applications, abstracts… to helping with litigation documents/patent disputes. We’re such experts in the field of patent translation we even get other translation agencies asking for our help!

We are also proud members of the ATC (Association of Translation Companies – from which Intonation has obtained several Project Management Awards in the last few years) and ITI (Institute of Translation and Interpreting).
