New York, New York—January 30, 2025—The International Trademark Association (INTA) announces the second installment of its groundbreaking workshop series, Integrating Intellectual Property, Finance, and Valuation, taking place in New York City, on March 19, 2025. This event follows on the heels of the successful inaugural workshop at the London Stock Exchange last December.
This half-day intensive workshop will bring together leading experts to explore the intersection of intellectual property (IP) valuation and financial strategy, with a special focus on the relevance of intangible assets to private investors, venture capitalists (VCs), and financial institutions. Expert panelists will explore global trends in IP and examine the increasing significance of intangible assets in modern business. They will also delve into the value of IP, specifically analyzing its crucial role in investment decision-making processes. Through detailed case studies and practical approaches, speakers will also demonstrate effective methods for valuing trade secrets, offering attendees concrete examples they can apply to their own organizations.
This workshop series aims to bridge the knowledge gap between IP and financial markets, providing both legal and financial services professionals with practical insights into the strategic importance of IP and intangible assets in today’s global economy.
“Between 1995 and 2020, the share of intangible asset market value increased from 68 percent to 90 percent. In other words, IP now accounts for 90 percent of a company’s overall value,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “The financial world increasingly recognizes that intangible assets, particularly IP, are key drivers of corporate value. And this is why we are bringing this workshop to New York’s financial hub—we’re fostering crucial dialogue between IP experts and the financial services community about how to effectively value and capitalize on these assets.”
The program is designed for a diverse professional audience across the finance, law, technology, and business sectors. Financial analysts, executives, legal advisors, IP professionals, VCs, private investors, business managers, strategists, and banking professionals will find value in the workshop’s comprehensive approach to IP valuation and management.
This workshop is free of charge and will be conducted exclusively in person at Convene, One Liberty Plaza, Fl 23, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm EST. It will include panel discussions, networking opportunities, and lunch. Learn more and register.
INTA will continue the series, with additional workshops planned for Dubai and Singapore later this year.
