Djingov, Gouginski, Kyutchukov and Velichkov is one of the largest and most prominent business law firms in Bulgaria. Founded in 1994 by the four name partners, the firm currently employs a team of 54 lawyers, including 15 partners, and maintains offices in Sofia and a representative office in Berlin. DGKV has a very well-established IP practice, currently comprising of 7 lawyers and a dedicated trademark and design IP specialist.  Four of the team members are certified to act as trademark and design agents before the Bulgarian Patent Office and five are fully qualified lawyers, having extensive experience in representation before the civil and administrative courts of law of all instances, the National Customs Agency, the Competition Protection Commission, the Consumer Protection Commission, the Bulgarian Prosecution authorities, WIPO and EUIPO.

The team represents and provides consultation and advice on all aspects of intellectual property including registration, preservation, and enforcement of patents, trademarks, designs, geographical indications, copyright and plant variety rights, execution of licensing, transfer of technology and know-how contracts.  The lawyers have in-depth experience in intellectual property and information technology due diligence and audit, drafting of settlement agreements, provision of trademark, design and patent maintenance services, advice on portfolio structuring, conducts pre-registration searches.  We represent clients in complex cases involving infringement of intellectual property rights.
