Houston, Texas—November 16, 2023—The International Trademark Association (INTA) announced that Pieter van den Bulck, Managing Director at Stobbs in Eindhoven, Netherlands has won a 2023 Membership Champion Award.

The INTA Member Champion Award is presented to one or more individuals who during the year help grow Association membership, increase Association awareness, and promote member benefits, demonstrating their combined passion for trademark and related intellectual property law and their commitment to INTA through exceptional efforts with such things as introductions to potential members, hosting recruitment events and roundtables, participating in delegations, and sharing their own INTA experience to facilitate knowledge and understanding of the Association.

As the Co-Chair of INTA’s Europe Global Advisory Council during the 2022–2023 committee term, Mr van den Bulck has represented INTA in various policy dialogues, including recently at two such events covering designs, and another concerning the metaverse and NFTs. His contributions have been invaluable to the comments made on the public consultation for the 2024 Work Program of the EU Observatory on Infringements of IPRs.

He played a key role in organizing a policy dialogue with the Benelux IP Office, where he proactively researched, contacted, and shared details of prospective corporate members in the region. Mr van den Bulck has consistently demonstrated an astute awareness of the Association membership and public policy advocacy objectives.

Upon receiving the award, Mr van den Bulck remarked, “I cannot think of another field of law that is so international in which a global network is so crucial. INTA made it possible for me to connect with peers, clients, and wonderful people from all over the world. I look forward to being part of the INTA community for as long as I work in IP, sharing with and learning from the most inspirational colleagues and friends.”

“Mr van den Bulck has proved vital in increasing Association awareness. He is a wonderful example of how one member can make a huge difference in growing and promoting the Association,” said INTA President Jomarie Fredericks. “He truly defines a member champion, and we are grateful for all he has accomplished.”

This year’s INTA awards were presented at the Association’s 2023 Leadership Meeting in Houston, Texas, which is taking place through November 17 where Brian Buss, Director at CBIZ Forensic Consulting Group (San Diego, California, United States) also received the Advancement of Association Objectives Award.
