New York, New York—June 28, 2023—The International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Trademark Administrators and Practitioners (TMAP) Meeting will be held in Denver, Colorado (USA), from October 1 to October 3. The TMAP Meeting is the premier event for trademark administrators, paralegals, young practitioners, and attorneys who manage a global trademark portfolio. Early bird registration ends Friday, June 30.

The TMAP Meeting is a fast-paced and dynamic setting where professionals can grow skills, develop professional and personal connections, and emerge with knowledge of the key developments in trademark law, best practices in brand protection, and benchmark themselves and their organizations against others in the IP ecosystem.

The educational program features a keynote conversation between David Gooder, Commissioner for Trademarks, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and TMAP Co-Chairs Katherine Hely (Caribbean IP, USA) and Emily Quackenbush (Perkins Coie, USA), as well as sessions led by industry leaders and experts on current and emerging issues in intellectual property (IP), including emerging technologies, managing a global trademark portfolio, domain name protection, non-traditional marks, and cultural appropriation.

“Participants will also benefit from expert advice on career progression and creative ways of reshaping their professional value proposition,” said Ms. Hely. “They will expand their leadership skills and explore mentoring new leaders through a session presented by INTA’s Women’s LeadershIP Initiative and learn about the key issues trademark administrators and practitioners need to know about diversity, equity, and inclusion in IP.”

“The educational sessions are also complemented by a plethora of Business Development and networking opportunities designed to help us build our networks and have fun at the same time. Many of the BD activities, such as the Bike & Brew, Dine Around, and Morning Walk/Run, also take advantage of Denver, our beautiful host city,” noted Ms. Quackenbush.

“We’re also pleased to take this opportunity to give back to the local community,” added Ms. Quackenbush. “We will have a volunteer event in partnership with Project Angel Heart, which prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with severe illnesses.”

“This Meeting speaks to the significant contributions and growing role of trademark administrators,” says INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “Managing and maintaining trademark portfolios requires an increasing level of sophistication of knowledge and industry awareness. We are proud to provide a forum where these essential members of our community can expand their professional toolkit, advance in their careers, and network with peers.”

Early-bird pricing is available through Friday, June 30. Learn more and register for the 2023 TMAP Meeting. Sponsorship/exhibition opportunities are also available.
