Leading international IP firm Rouse has announced the appointment of Yana Tsygankova as the new Country Manager for Russia. Highly experienced in IP enforcement and prosecution cases across Russia and CIS, Yana has been a core member of Rouse’s Moscow team since the office opened in 2013. Taking over from Stuart Adams, Yana will spearhead the next phase of growth for the company’s Russian operations.
Rouse established its Moscow office to provide IP enforcement services to global rights holders seeking to engage the Russian market. In her six years with Rouse, Yana has built a reputation for excellence across several industry sectors, with particular focus on alcohol, luxury, automotive, telecommunications, energy, and personal care industries, as well as significant infringement cases in the marketing, advertising, and digital spheres. Her expertise spans contentious and non-contentious matters covering varieties of trademark, copyright, trade name, domain name, trade secret, and unfair competition issues.
“I’m delighted to take the role,” says Yana, “the Russian IP regime continues to mature and demand for high-quality IP services is extremely strong, from domestic and international clients alike. I look forward to helping the firm seize new growth opportunities and further expanding our client roster of global rights holders”.
Luke Minford, Rouse chief executive, commented: “Yana’s extensive IP experience, sound judgment and deep knowledge of the Russian commercial and regulatory landscape make her the obvious candidate for the position. Under Yana’s leadership, Rouse Russia could not be better placed”.
The news follows a strong period of growth for Rouse globally, following recent office openings in Stockholm and Chinese tech capital Shenzhen – the company’s fifth office in China.
