Mishcon de Reya has announced that Angela Fox has agreed to join the firm as a Partner in its Intellectual Property team.
Fox has over 27 years of experience in trademark practice, initially as a trademark attorney and, since 2003, as a solicitor. Fox works with clients across a broad range of industries including financial services, and the food and drink and entertainment sectors.
Fox’s practice is a mix of contentious and non-contentious trademarks, and copyright and design matters. On the contentious side, it includes UK and EUIPO opposition actions, cancellations, and appeals, including to the Appointed Person, the High Court, the EUIPO Boards of Appeal, and the General Court, as well as litigation in the IPEC and the High Court. On the non-contentious side, Fox manages large international trademark portfolios, advising on and handling searching, clearance, registration, and transactional work. Fox is also instructed by many international law firms to act for their clients in the UK and EU. Her book, Intellectual Property Enterprise Court: Practice & Procedure (3rd Ed., Sweet & Maxwell) is a well-known and respected practitioners’ guide on this important court.
David Rose, Partner and head of Mishcon de Reya’s Intellectual Property Group said: “We could not be more delighted that Angela has agreed to join us as a Partner in Mishcon de Reya’s Intellectual Property team. Her experience in serving large and sophisticated clients is second to none. Angela will add considerable expertise to our existing capabilities and strengths across the full range of brands and designs work.”
Fox added: “I am delighted to have agreed to join Mishcon de Reya as a Partner in their top-tier Intellectual Property team. Mishcon’s commitment to investing in and growing its IP practice, and its role as trusted counsel for some of the world’s best-known brands, reflect my own values, standards, and ambitions in helping the clients I serve get the most out of their IP. The Mishcon team has impressive bench strength and incredible clients and I am looking forward to adding my own experience and expertise to this top-class, dynamic practice.”
