October 2, 2024 (Milwaukee) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced today that it has elected 18 new partners.

The firm elected three IP attorneys to partner, including:
Lauren Bolcar, a member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group based in Washington, D.C., who handles an array of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation and counseling matters. She has represented clients in a wide variety of industries in federal courts throughout the country as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and in private arbitration. Bolcar received a B.S. from Bucknell University and J.D. from Seton Hall Law School.
Bryce Loken, a Madison-based member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group, handles an array of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation and counseling matters. His clients cover a variety of industries, including wireless communication, consumer electronics and technology, computer software, consumer and household goods, commercial manufacturing, clothing and apparel, and beverages and nutritional supplements. Loken received a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Michele Washington, an Intellectual Property attorney in the Denver office prepares and prosecutes patent applications and assists clients on strategic US and international patent portfolio development. With a technical background in the life sciences, Washington assists clients with patent protection on technologies that include large molecule therapeutics, gene editing, drug delivery, and immunology. Washington has a B.A. from Colorado College, a Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine, and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
