As counterfeiting becomes an increasingly sophisticated challenge for brands globally, TikTok Real gives rights holders the tools, transparency, and direct partnership they need to protect what they’ve built.
TikTok Real is a comprehensive intellectual property rights (IPR) protection program that will strengthen TikTok’s IPR efforts by enhancing the efficiency of our collaboration with brands and promoting greater knowledge sharing.
TikTok Real participants will have priority access to new features in our Intellectual Property Protection Center (IPPC). This includes a brand authorization module, allowing brands to verify authorizations directly online. This will make the process faster, more reliable, and fully traceable.
With newly developed features, this program will provide seamless processing between takedown requests and removal of infringement, in addition to enhanced support in proactive detection and monitoring of suspicious listings.
Selected brands will also be invited to join the TT Real Roundtable. The Roundtable will be comprised of a smaller number of brands that have the highest performance and the most significant number of IP issues with counterfeiters.
TikTok Real Roundtable includes enhanced information sharing with regular online and in-person meetings, plus sharing reactive and proactive enforcement activity.
To better address IPR concerns on TikTok, including user-generated content (videos) and ads, a smoother workflow is also being integrated into the Roundtable program to deliver a more comprehensive and frictionless enforcement experience.
The TikTok Real website will serve as the one-stop location for all TikTok IPR protection efforts, news, and showcases. We will be able to deliver our latest messages to all partners instantly and receive firsthand feedback.
The program currently includes 61 brands, and additional brands will be invited to join the program. This is a global program that is available in all TikTok Shop regions.
