New York, New York—November 12, 2024—The International Trademark Association (INTA) is pleased to announce the election of Elisabeth Stewart Bradley as the 2025 President of the Association and the Chair of its Board of Directors.
As Vice President, Innovation Law at Bristol Myers Squibb Company (USA), Stewart Bradley leads the global biopharmaceutical company’s trademarks, copyrights, and brand protection initiatives from their Princeton, New Jersey, offices. In this role, she is responsible for determining and implementing all global policies relating to the clearance, management, and protection of their trademark and copyright portfolios, providing strategic guidance on a broad range of intellectual property (IP) matters across the organization.
Stewart Bradley will assume her one-year term on January 1, 2025, succeeding Dana Northcott, Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Amazon.com, Inc. (USA).
“I am excited and deeply honored to serve as INTA’s 2025 President,” said Stewart Bradley. “As our industry continues to evolve, I look forward to working with our dedicated members and staff to advance INTA’s mission of supporting trademarks and complementary IP to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation, and building a better society through brands.”
“We’re deeply thankful to Elisabeth, who has been a volunteer with the Association for more than two decades and already contributed so much of her time and expertise. We look forward to welcoming her in 2025 as INTA President,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “This will be a pivotal year for the Association as we conclude our 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and prepare for the implementation of the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan. No doubt, we will all benefit from Elizabeth’s experience and leadership during this crucial year.”
Stewart Bradley joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 2011, following eight years as in-house trademark counsel in the consumer products industry. Prior to her in-house roles, she worked in private practice in New York City, handling both litigation and IP matters for a diverse range of clients. She graduated from The University of Virginia School of Law and holds a B.A. from The College of William & Mary.
Within INTA, Stewart Bradley currently serves as 2024 President-Elect, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board and the Chair of the Planning Committee. She served as the 2022 DEI Council Officer, encouraging and progressing INTA’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policy in furtherance of its mission. Stewart Bradley also participated in several committees and project teams such as the IP in Space Project Team, the Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee, the Brands and Innovation Committee, and Co-Chaired the Association’s first virtual Annual Meeting. Her dedication to the Association and the global IP community has been demonstrated through her active involvement in various leadership roles.
The Board elected Stewart Bradley and the 2024 INTA Officers during its quarterly Board meeting, held on November 12, during the Association’s 2024 Leadership Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. With more than 1,700 registrants, it is the largest Leadership Meeting in the Association’s history.
