Atlanta, GA – June 5, 2025 – Pierson Ferdinand LLP, one of the world’s fastest-growing law firms, announces that David L. Pardue, one of the country’s leading trade secrets litigators, has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Department as a Partner in Atlanta, Georgia.
Bringing over three decades of experience, Pardue counsels clients and litigates on their behalf on trade secrets, IP, employment, and complex business matters, frequently leading high-stakes, complex litigation for major corporations.
Pardue’s clients range from global public companies to small businesses in various sectors such as manufacturing, technology, automotive, construction, and insurance. He has been lead counsel in over 125 federal lawsuits in 22 US jurisdictions.
Pardue is also a recognized thought leader on trade secrets matters and a regular speaker at major industry events, including this year’s Sedona Conference on Global Intellectual Property Litigation, held in the Netherlands. He has also authored numerous articles covering developments in non-compete and trade secrets law, such as ‘Non-Compete Clauses in the Crosshairs’, published by IAM in April.
Before joining the Firm, Pardue was a Partner at a 275-lawyer firm, Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP. His arrival strengthens PierFerd’s IP department and its trade secrets litigation experience – a strategic priority for the firm.
Naira Simmons, Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Department at PierFerd, said: “We are delighted to welcome David Pardue to our Intellectual Property Department. David is widely recognized as a leading authority in trade secrets law, with more than three decades of experience guiding clients through complex, high-stakes litigation. His deep experience spans a broad range of industries, and his thoughtful, strategic approach to resolving sophisticated disputes is highly valued by clients and colleagues alike. David’s arrival significantly enhances our capabilities in IP litigation, particularly with respect to Trade Secrets, and I am confident that he will be a tremendous asset to our team and to the clients we serve.”
Pardue, Partner at Pierson Ferdinand, commented: “PierFerd’s collaborative culture and mission statement were significant reasons why I have joined the firm, as was its transparency on compensation. I look forward to working closely with new colleagues, particularly on IP and patent litigation, where trade secrets experience will be invaluable.”
Outside his legal career, Pardue volunteers for various non-profits, including a role on the Board of the United States Intellectual Property Alliance, whose mission is to educate the general public about the importance of intellectual property rights.
Pardue holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Tulane University.
